Leftover shortbread, a little bonus treat!

After making these delicious Fudgy Lemon Bars, I found I had a bit of the base dough left over. Now I hate to waste anything, so I rolled it out into a circle, scored it into segments and baked it. Et voila, fantastic shortbread biscuits!  If you want to make them, just follow the first part of the lemon bar recipe for making the base. A happy accident!

I have been busy experimenting in the LoveFoodCookFood kitchen again and have inadvertently come up with a twist on an old family favourite.  Does that happen to you?  It happens to me all the time.  In fact , it is fairly safe to say that most of my recipes come from these happy mistakes.  I will be posting up to the site very soon.  So watch this space.  :-)
